Thornton Heath is found to the south of Charing Cross in the London Borough of Croydon. Specifically situated between Croydon and Norbury, Thornton Heath is a popular town for commuters due to its proximity to London.

Founded in 2014, the Thornton Heath Community Action Team is a group of residents and business who aim to deliver area improving projects. They are working with the local community to make Thornton Heath an area that its residents can be proud of, and people want to be a part of.

St Alban's Church was built in 1889 and is now a Grade II listed building, it was the first church designed by late Victorian architect Sir Ninian Comper. Another interesting feature of Thornton Heath is the Clocktower. It is located on the junction of the high street and Parchmore Road and was financed partially by public funds in 1990.
