Keeping Landlords in the loop: introducing our new online Tenancy Management Portal and online Maintenance Reporting Tool

Landlords are the life-blood of the private rented sector but the raft of changes to legislation over the last 18 months, including the introduction of the Deregulation Act 2015, has placed even greater responsibility onto landlords. That’s why, at Townends, we want to do everything we can to reduce that burden and ensure all of your tenancies are compliant and efficient.

In response, we have launched our new online tenancy management portal giving landlords greater visibility to the key elements of their tenancy or tenancies.

Our new portal will display:

  • Digital contracts
  • Tenants’ details
  • Online statements
  • Pending work orders
  • Downloadable documents such as inventories, EPCs, deposit certificates and more.

This new tool emphasises our dedication to excellent customer care by supporting landlords to simply and efficiently fulfil compliance and tax obligations.

As well as helping landlords keep track of their tenancy, we have signed up with the market-leading online repair reporting system Fixflo. Fixflo allows tenants to report repairs and maintenance requirements easily and then keep track of the repair as updates are made. The system has proven to revolutionise repairs reporting for the residential lettings industry, helping agents provide a more streamlined service.

Fixflo is an online picture-based tool that guides tenants through a series of pictures to identify a problem without any need for technical knowledge. It highlights repairs that are the tenant’s responsibility under their tenancy agreement but, where a genuine repair by an expert contractor is required, enables them to report the problem to their landlord or property manager.
