This is an idyllic place to live in the summer. The village has a great selection of restaurants and pubs to call into whilst enjoying a lovely walk along the river.

Sunbury was once home to the London Irish Rugby Club and whilst the premiership team has now moved on to new grounds, the club is still used by local teams during the rugby season. If the races are your idea of a great day out, Sunbury is a fantastic place to be, with Kempton Park Racecourse only a few hundred metres to the east of Sunbury Cross.

Sunbury provides excellent transport links to the M3, M25 and A316 motorways allowing people to go London or towards the coast if required. The Sunbury train station offers direct access to London Waterloo via Kingston-upon-Thames and Wimbledon for additional shopping and nightlife.

Sunbury-on-Thames is divided into two areas by the M3 – the southern section, Lower Sunbury, otherwise known as Sunbury Village and the northern section known as Sunbury Common. The area has something for everyone and makes a great place to live, raise a family, go to school and retire in.

Lower Sunbury borders the River Thames and has grown in popularity with young first time buyers and tenants looking to start families. Properties in the area tend to be a mix of Victorian terraces and 1930’s semi detached houses.

One of the most attractive features of Lower Sunbury Village is the superb Walled Garden which adjoins Sunbury Park. Here, a café in a building that has been built to architecturally resemble a boat, attracts a wide variety of people who can come and enjoy the wonderful views of the Thames. During the summer months you can come to the Walled Garden to enjoy the annual concerts and plays.
